The Firm

Marley Tjitjo Architects Inc. (MTA) is an architectural practice based in Windhoek, providing professional services in the commercial, residential, industrial and institutional building environment . The firm consists of a team of seven qualified architects and one interior architect, led by the founder Marley Tjitjo.

MTA is a proud member of the Namibia Institute of Architects (NIA). Our professional fees are charged in accordance with the minimum fee scale as prescribed by the Architects and Quantity Surveyor’s Act, no. 13 of 1979. Marley Tjitjo Architects Inc. was founded in 2001.

The Staff

Marley Tjitjo received his tertiary education in South Africa. He obtained a B.Bdg degree, as well as a B.Arch degree from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Mr. Tjitjo has acquired 12 years experience running a private practice and is a registered architect with the Namibia Institute of Architects(NIA) registration no 050 & Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors (NCAQS): registration no. NCAQS 355.

Mr. Tjitjo is actively involved in the architecture community and has served on the Namibia Institute of Architects’ board (NIA), as well as the Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors’ board (NCAQS), He previously served on the John Muafangeyo Art Centre’s (JMAC) board and also served as a board member of the National Heritage Council of Namibia (NHC).
Mrs. Tjitemisa obtained her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Namibia (Human Resources). Mrs Tjitemisa previously worked for PR distributors in the United Kingdom. Mrs. Tjitemisa serves as the company’s human resource coordinator.
Jackson Tjitjo serves as the company’s Financial manager and bookkeeper. Mr Tjitjo received his education from the Polytechnic of Namibia, he holds a National Diploma in Cost Accounting.
Mr. Jason Operi Uhongora studied at the college of the arts for a Diploma in Media Studies. He currently holds the position of Operations coordinator.
Ms Oyula trained in the USA. She received her BSc. in Architectural Studies from the University of Utah and later, a Masters in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College. Ms.Oyula previously worked for CBT Architects, E.R. Racek Associates in Boston, Massachusetts and Lloyd Design Group in Salt Lake City, Utah and accumulated a total of 6 years of work experience before joining MTA inc.
Norman Mwenda holds a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from the Copperbelt University in Zambia. Mr. Mwenda Previously worked for LI Architects, for one year before joining Marley Tjitjo Architects in 2008.
Mrs Pauw received training at the University of Pretoria where she obtained her Masters degree in Architecture at the end of 2010. Ms Pauw previously worked at Archative Architects before joining Marley Tjitjo Architects in 2011.
Mr. Mofulatsi Rampou completed his Masters in Architecture at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa, and joined Marley tjitjo Architects at the beginning of 2012.
Christiaan Liebenberg holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Mr. Liebenberg previously worked at four South African based Architecture "rms over a period of four years before joining Marley Tjitjo Architects in April 2011.
Mr Daniel Joubert was trained at the University of Pretoria. Where he received his BSc (Arch), BHons (Arch) and March (Prof) degrees. Mr Joubert worked for PKA International Architects, 3 Point Architects and GWA Studio in South Africa before he joined Marley Tjitjo Architects in 2011.
Ms. Kavishe received training at the University of Pretoria and "nished her Masters degree in Interior Architecture. Ms Kavishe previously worked at Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects in Cape Town before joining Marley Tjitjo Architects in 2012.
Mr. Aluvilu received his tertiary education from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, where he obtained his degree in Bachelors of Architectural Studies. He has an interest in pursuing his Masters degree in Architecture.
Mr Gavin joined Marley Tjitjo Architects in 2008 where he is working as a draughtsman. He holds a certi"cate in Accounting and Auditing from The University of Namibia. He is currently studying Accounting and Finance at The Polytechnic of Namibia on part time basis.
Mr. Puje holds a grade 12 certi"cate. He has an interest in becoming an Architect and is currently working as a draughtsman.
Mr. Raungura completed a National Dip in Civil Engineering in 2010. He has an interest in becoming an Architect and is currently receiving his training as a draughtsman.
Abner serves the company in the various capacities, which include driver, messenger and cleaning. He has proven himself a great asset to the company over the years.
